Dear Debaters,

Looking at the calendar, today and tomorrow shall be the last days to finalize payment for the IVED UNHAS 2011.

Remember that the registration fee for teams in the main list is Rp. 550.000,- per person and one team shall consist of four persons (3 debaters + 1 N1 adjudicator).

POLICY REGARDING WAITING LIST

We are currently having 23 teams queuing up in the waiting list. Shall there is any team on the main list fail to pay their registration fee until this November 30, we will opening up the slot to any teams currently on the waiting list started on December 1, 00:00 WITA. To be able to be promoted to the main list, teams in the waiting list shall notify me (Registration Director) via either email (ived2011@gmail.com) or text messages (08991558639) or any available means of communication that you prefer and please wait until i confirm whether or not you can proceed to payment.

Remember that the inclusion of teams on the waiting list will be based on first come first served basis with a prioritization given to different teams from those whose institution has already been accommodated within the main list OR to teams who have not participated in any of the previous IVEDs.

POLICY REGARDING N1 ADJUDICATOR

Let us be perfectly clear that IVED UNHAS 2011 will follow N1 adjudicator policy instead of N-1 (N minus 1). Having adopted this policy, meaning that each debate team will be obliged to send one adjudicator. The number of adjudicators shall be precisely the same with the number of debate teams being sent. This policy is compulsory, shall there is any team who fail to comply with this policy shall be subject to penalties of having to still pay the registration fee of its N1 adjudicator and bearing a status as a non-breaking team.

LODGING

The lodging for IVED UNHAS 2011 will be a 3 Star Hotel Amaris (click here for more detailed information) located next to one of the biggest shopping mall in Makassar and the most crowded entertainment complex within the city.

Lodging will only be provided started from the night of Friday, January 21 until the night of Tuesday, January 25, 2010. For all participants who wish to come earlier from the stated date or extend their stay may inform our Lodging Officer - Nurjannah (081342387738) just to help you to arrange early booking. Extra night of stay already informed earlier to the committee will be subject to discounted additional charge of Rp 350,000,- per room per night with a maximum of 2 persons per room.
