Prepared Motions

Dear fellow debaters of IVED 2011,

We have finally arrived a month prior to IVED UNHAS 2011. The A-team have gone
through countless discussions to ensure that all of the motions are fair,
challenging, accessible, thus we are confident that the next IVED UNHAS will
generate great debates throughout the whole tournament. The A-team will make
sure that such fairness will be reflected for impromptu motions as well.

The next IVED provides a new experience by the existence Novice Break System. It
is a system that appreciates young talent thriving their way to the national
debating scene. As a consequence of having semis and a grand final for Novice
break we have 2 additional headings compared to previous IVEDs. There will be a
total of 12 headings.

We guarantee the secrecy of impromptu motions hence it will be determined in
discretion of the A team at the day of competition. This method will prevent any
chance of leak outs before the competition.

Directly to the point, Here are the 5 prepared motions for the tournament:

their children to determine their sexual orientation

THW ban all forms of artificial reproduction technologies (IVF, surrogates,
sperm banks, etc.) to force couples to adopt

THBT building religious house of worships should not require authorization from
the government

actual amount of money they corrupt

ENVIRONMENT
THBT the Cancun results have brought us nowhere

We expect mind blowing principles, impacts, and unorthodox arguments from
debaters thus we recommend all of you to utilize your time and research
effectively! As that is one of the spirit of Australasian Parliamentary, solid
research for a solid case!

See you in the IVED UNHAS 2011!
